Martina Claesson
a strong belief in form, function, and user-centered thinking
Martina Claesson is a Swedish designer with a background in industrial design and a strong belief in form, function, and user-centered thinking. She recently established her own studio and now works as an independent designer – with the freedom to immerse herself in what truly drives her: creativity, curiosity, and meaningful collaborations.
Playful and thoughtful
Martina’s approach is both playful and thoughtful. She strives to create simple, smart solutions with an unexpected twist – always with an eye for detail and the human need behind the design. Her work has gained recognition, including awards such as the Ro Plastic Prize and Ung Svensk Form, and has paved the way for an exciting and rewarding collaboration with IKEA of Sweden, one of her most important partners.
Martina is passionate about the sense of community within the design world – about sharing ideas, building relationships, and drawing inspiration from the perspectives of others. Her studio is a place where thoughts take shape as solutions – and where design is allowed to grow with both care and edge.

For Muubs, Martina has designed the Suiro glass series and the Toki clock.
"I wanted to create a glass series with simple, clean forms that feel honest and timeless. Each glass has small variations that bring life and personality," says Martina about Suiro. “Thanks to its versatility, the robust expression of the glasses fits perfectly for both everyday use and special occasions.”
The Toki clock is designed with a soft, organic form in brushed steel, giving it a modern and timeless expression. “The asymmetrical silhouette breaks the rigidity and makes the clock feel more unique, while still maintaining a minimalist simplicity.”
